Terms of Use — WeRead2Notion
Last updated: 2026-06-25
By using WeRead2Notion ("the Service") you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service does
WeRead2Notion synchronizes highlights, notes, and reading statistics from
your WeChat Reading (微信读书) account to your personal Notion workspace,
using the Notion public API.
The Service is invite-only and self-hosted. The operator controls
who has access by issuing invite codes.
2. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering.
- Provide your own Notion workspace and authorize our integration to access it.
- Provide a valid WeChat Reading API key obtained through the official WeRead Skill program.
- Not use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
- Not attempt to disrupt the Service or other users.
3. What we are NOT responsible for
- Data loss in Notion: We sync to your Notion workspace using the "覆盖式同步" (overwrite) strategy. The Service deletes and recreates per-book pages during sync. Anything you manually added inside a synced page will be removed. Use the Notion sync page only for WeRead data; add personal notes in separate sub-pages.
- WeChat Reading API changes: If WeRead changes its API or revokes your API key, sync will fail until you update your key.
- Notion API quota / rate limits: We do our best to respect Notion's rate limits, but sustained heavy usage may cause sync throttling.
- Service interruption: The Service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees.
4. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You abuse the Service (spam, scraping, malicious code).
- You share your invite code publicly.
- Your account is involved in security incidents.
You may disconnect at any time via Notion's Connections settings.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We
make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of sync, or fitness for any
particular purpose.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any
indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of
the Service.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted in the
project README with at least 7 days' notice.
